Well, we had quite a week this past week. Crooked Hillary became deplorable Hillary became collapsing Hillary. The tide bad economic data kept rolling in. There was more evidence (as if we needed any) that there is very little of Christianity left in our nation’s mainstream culture.
Deplorable Hillary
For someone who’s always seemed to lack a sense of humor, Hillary managed to inject a healthy dose of LOL humor last week with her “basket of deplorables” speech. Based on her comments, about 25% of the US population qualified for deplorable status due to their, drum roll please, racism, sexism, homophobia, Islamophobia and/or whateverophobia.
For my part, I’m glad she said what she said and don’t think she should take back any of it. I rather enjoy it when people speak their mind. At least we know where we all stand. In that regard, it’s a bit like Obama’s “‘bitterly clinging to their guns and religion” comments a few years back. Hillary was trying to gain SJW street cred with her LGBT friends and Barbara Streisand. And who am I to deny her such an honor?
Of course, this is a bit self-serving on my part. After all, I find her lying, war-mongering, Saul Alinsky loving, oligarch schmoozing, feminist, anti-American, crony capitalist, charity fraudster self to be not a little deplorable, and, as I would like to preserve my right to say so, I’m more than willing to grant her free rein to bare her soul to the world.
It was the very next day that Hillary collapsed like the twin towers at the 911 ceremony in New York. We can only hope that her campaign does likewise.
As a closing thought on the Hillary, I believe that while it is necessary to point out her many lies, appalling record as Secretary of State, and ideological unfitness to serve as president, it is not sufficient. There are many outlets capable of doing that. As I have pointed out elsewhere, as a Christian I must also object to the idea of a woman president. Period. As Isaiah tells us, female rulers are a sign, not of a healthy society, but of a ruined nation. Only by pointing out this rather unpopular point can a Christian writer be said to have done his job with respect to Mrs. Clinton’s campaign.
More Peddling Fiction
Can anything good come from Harvard? I’ve asked myself that question myself, and now we have an answer. Surprisingly, it is “yes”. According to Zero Hedge, a study put out by Harvard Business School titled Problems Unsolved and a Nation Divided identified, found that, “all of Obama’s major policy initiative were identified as the key reasons for our under-performing economy, including, a (sic) health care, high personal income taxes, high corporate taxes and a burdensome regulatory environment.
Back in his State of the Union speech in January, Obama accused anyone who didn’t think the economy was awesome of “peddling fiction.” But the economic charts below taken from the Harvard study suggest that the peddler- of-fiction-in-chief is none other than BHO himself. Let’s just say the trend is most definitely not our friend.
Transgenders Transform the Nation
This sort of thing really shouldn’t shock me anymore, but it still does. I speak of the stranglehold the LGBT militants now have on the mainstream organs of our society. This was brought home to me once again by a CNBC headline which announced “North Carolina to lose millions in sports tourism over ‘bathroom law’.”
The Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC), home to college basketball powerhouses Duke, North Carolina, and North Carolina State has announced that it’s pulling “all neutral-site championships from North Carolina” in response to the new state law requiring people to use public restrooms that correspond to the sex listed for them on their birth certificate. In this, the ACC joined the NCAA and the NBA in running for the nearest safe space lest anyone should have his feelings hurt by the gross intolerance of the state of North Carolina.
The Bible lists two and only two jobs for civil magistrates: 1) punish evildoers, 2) praise the good. The latter I understand to be a reference to passing laws in accordance with the law of God. North Carolina’s law, known formally as HB2 or popularly as “the bathroom bill”, is an attempt to do just this, as it prohibits men from using women’s bathrooms and vice-versa. But in the “enlightened” 21st century, our corporate overlords have so little discernment that they find such legislation offensive.
Criticizing the North Carolina legislature for upholding God’s law – there are no such person’s as transgenders, the Bible knows only two sexes, male and female – is corporate America doing its best to call good evil and evil good. Woe to them.
