Happy New Year 2022!
I had meant to write this post last week, but, as they say, life got in the way. So here’s the belated version for you.
As do many, I find New Year’s a convenient time to stop and reflect on the year past and consider what may lie ahead.
In my case, I like to mention upfront that I’m thankful to the Lord God Almighty for the opportunity to write this blog during 2021. Before I begin each post, I pray that the Lord would grant me the grace to write truthfully, clearly, and in a way that glorifies His name and edifies his people. Moreover, November 2021 marked the seventh anniversary of my prayer to God asking him to help me write at least one blog post a week. By his grace I have kept this pace, posting at least one new item every week since then. Thanks be to God for giving me the strength to do this!
There are times as a writer when I really do wonder if I’m doing the Lord’s will or my own. Has God called me to do this work, or am I just kidding myself and rebelling against him? That he has honored my prayers for this blog, that people still seem to get something out of it, and that I continue to enjoy writing are big hints to me that, yes, I am doing what the Lord has called me to do.

Steve, we are not Luther or Calvin, but we are to contend for the faith (Jude 1:3) despite minor theological differences in traditional orthodox Protestant Christianity like an old-fashioned Lutheran differing from a Scot Presbyterian. Don’t second guess yourself – temptations and doubts of the mind. I’m tempted as well. “Oh, don’t write that, keep your mouth shut; you might stir the pot too much and the Pope will get offended”. The fear arises from the carnal nature, etc. Lord Help. As you so righty pointed out, the Protestant voice is nearly silent and or willfully ignorant. Yes, the Dems are running in harmony with the RCCS; however, as you know, the pendulum could eventually swing to a FALSE conservative Christianity in the Republican Party to where there is an ecumenical Pharisaic movement similar to Christian Reconstructionism where Catholics and false Protestants persecutive with an Inquisition – simply the flip side of the liberal Inquisition underway. Trump has told us to not be critical of Catholics – suppressing our 1st Amendment Right as well as Scripture’s rebukes on the Papacy. We are very close to being a Catholic Nation with a power struggle as to whether the liberal or conservative demon runs the show. Of course, if the liberal agenda comes to full fruition, then the so-called conservative Christians will align like the Rinos and persecute all dissenters. Hitler just wasn’t after the Jews. Being he was truly Satanically enraged; he was also seeking out Baptist and Protestants as well. Satan’s fury is against the Word. As the Lord proclaims, My Kingdom is not of this world. Either way, keep contending for the Faith. Tommy
