A lot of attention has been paid to the invasion of women’s sports by so-called “trans women.” In case you’re up on all the latest terminology, a “trans woman” is a man pretending to be a woman.  A “trans woman” athlete is a man attempting to gain a competitive advantage by posing as a woman in a woman’s athletic competition.

This has been going on for some years now.  A quick web search revealed a story just posted yesterday about a transgender golfer who won a woman’s golf tournament and is looking to level up and qualify for the LPGA tour.[1]

Many such stories have been published over the past several years to the point where it’s become almost commonplace. In some cases, organized resistance to men competing in women’s sports has. Several states have passed laws prohibiting men posing as women from competing in women’s sporting events as transgender athletes.[2]

Riley Gaines, a former University of Kentucky swimmer, has become well-known for her opposition to men competing in women’s sports.  Her website reads, “Riley Gaines is a leader defending women’s single-sex spaces….”

To be clear, I have no disagreement with her in her fight against the transgender lie and wish her the best of success.  In a sane society, there would be no need for her or anyone else to even argue this point.  But in the Year of Our Lord 2024, we do not live in a sane society, at least not those of us who live in America.  Perhaps some places in the world are not so confused, but America is a greatly confused nation indeed.

For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.

  • 1 Corinthians 15:1

I’m a natural pessimist.  A glass half empty kind of guy.

Yesterday I took some time to watch the Cincinnati Reds play the Philadelphia Phillies.  The Reds are coming off a miserable season that saw them lose 100 games.  The Phillies, on the other hand, were the National League champs last year.  But going into the bottom of the ninth and against all odds, the Reds held a slim 2-0 lead, needing just 3 outs to claim the victory.  My comment at the time was, they’re probably going to find some way to choke.  And sure enough, they did.  The Reds’ bullpen imploded, giving up 3 runs, the lead, and the game.

Oh well.

As the line from the movie A League of Their Own goes, “There’s no crying in baseball.”

Now in the ranking of life’s disappointments, watching your favorite team snatch defeat from the jaws of victory rates as a minor thing.  But it is an example of the disappointments we all encounter in life.  Maybe you didn’t make the varsity team in high school.  Maybe you didn’t get into that college you set your heart on attending.  That big promotion you thought you were going to get; it went to someone else.  And to these examples can be added countless others.

I spend a great deal of time on this blog analyzing the news.  Have you heard any good news lately?  If you’re like me, probably not very much.  It’s ugly out there.

LGBTQ rights activists rally at the Texas Capitol in Austin, Texas on March 27, 2023. (Lauren McGaughy / Lauren McGaughy)

Over 2,500 years ago, the prophet Isaiah penned the words, “Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!”  Isaiah was writing about the collapsing theocracy in Judah in the 7th and 8th centuries B.C., but he could just as easily have been commenting on 21st-century America.

What Isaiah was describing has been termed by some a “satanic inversion.”  That is, what is put forth by the devil’s votaries as good is the mirror opposite of what is commanded by God and vice versa.   God cannot lie.  But when Satan lies, he speaks from his own resources. For lies are his native language.

Lies have become the native language of America’s ruling class.  Their daddy is the devil.  And by ruling class, I mean not just those in positions of political authority – mayors, governors, senators, judges, presidents – but leaders in business, leaders in the schools, leaders in the universities, leaders in publishing companies, leaders in entertainment, leaders in the media, and, yes, leaders in many churches as well.  24/7, Americans are subject to the most extraordinary propaganda, yet many seem blissfully unaware of it.

Last Monday’s horrible shooting at a Nashville church school and the aftermath is an obvious example of a satanic inversion and one that bears closer examination.

It’s not the Guns

Predictably, the gun grabbers were fighting over who could get to the microphone the fastest to call for the disarming of the American people.  Oh, they’ll tell you they just want to keep AR-15s out of peoples’ hands.  Why, those are weapons of war!

But of course, the gun grabbers have no intention of stopping with AR-15s.  If they get their way, their next target likely will be 9mm pistols.  Joe Biden himself signaled this last year when he appeared to call for the banning of 9mm handguns.  Said Biden in his garbled way, “So the idea of these high-caliber weapons (9mm handguns) is, uh, there’s simply no rational basis for it in terms of thinking about self-protection.”

It’s not surprising that the Roman Catholic, Jesuit-linked Joe Biden would come out against handguns.  His Vatican handlers have been pushing for handgun control since at least 1975

But here’s something to think about.  I graduated high school in the mid-1980s.  And while younger readers may find this hard to believe, no one was worried about school shootings.  The subject just never came up.  There were no metal detectors in my high school.  There were, as far as I’m aware, no armed resource officers in my high school.  The doors were not locked and barred.

And there were guns around in the 1980s.  Lots of ‘em.

I don’t say this to suggest everyone at my high school was a perfect angel or that there were no behavior problems.  There was a lot of bad stuff happening in the 1980s, including some school shootings.  It’s just that if you had used the term “school shooter” in 1980s America, no one would have known what you were talking about.  It wasn’t a “thing” at that time.

And school shootings didn’t become a “thing” until two demon-possessed students at Columbine High School went on a shooting spree in 1999 killing 12 other students and one teacher before they killed themselves.

So, if there were guns around in the 1980s and school shootings were rare, then how can guns be the cause of the raft of school shootings we’ve seen since the 1990s?

It’s the people who have changed, not the guns.

When I was in first grade it was “see spot run.” In 2022, a different message is being given to students.

And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

It wasn’t my intention to write on Pride Month again this week.  But sometimes the need to speak out on an issue is such that to remain silent is impossible.

Homosexuality is a sin, both the acts and the desires.  In the not-too-distant past, this was understood by nearly everyone.  Even those who weren’t Christians by and large understood that sodomy was unnatural and not something to be proud of.

As recently as 1973, homosexuality was considered a psychiatric disorder by the American Psychiatric Association, an organization that could hardly be considered Christian.

Yet here we are, forty-nine years later, being told by corporations, government officials of all levels, teachers, schools, healthcare professionals, churches, colleges and universities, athletes, and entertainers that one must not only tolerate sodomy but actually celebrate it.

I personally know someone in the medical field, a Christian, who told me that the organization he works for, a large healthcare provider specializing in children, was actively soliciting doctors to lobby the Ohio legislature in opposition to a bill that would ban puberty blockers, hormone treatments and gender-change surgery for minors in the state.

Jesuit-educated Nina Jankowicz (Masters from Georgetown University) has been tapped by the Biden Regime to head up the new Ministry of Truth, known formally as the Disinformation Governance Board.

When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.

  • Proverbs 29:2

“But clearly our entire principles of the country was founded on, you cannot have a Ministry of Truth in this country.  And so let’s get real here.  Let’s make sure that we’re doing things that benefit Floridians and Americans, but we’re not going to let Biden get away with this one.  So, we’ll be fighting back.”

Those were the remarks of Florida Governor Ron DeSantis last week in response to the Biden Regime’s announcement of a new Ministry of Truth – the Disinformation Governance Board is the actual name for this new group that will fall under the umbrella of the equally Orwellian named Department of Homeland Security.

For years, many have warned Americans of the creeping police state in this nation, and the day for it has finally arrived.  Actually, it’s been here for some time, but the fruits of the authoritarian mindset of our rulers have become much more manifest over the past two years.

Take heed that you not be deceived.

  • Luke 21:8

There are in Scripture numbers commands directed to Christians not to be deceived.  Take, for example, Christ’s warning to his disciples at the beginning of his discourse about the end times.  “Take heed that you not be deceived,” he told them.

My Webster’s New Collegiate Dictionary defines “deceive” thus: the imposing of a false idea or belief that causes bewilderment or helplessness or furthers the agent’s purpose.”  On that definition, there are certainly a lot of Americans who have failed to heed Jesus’s injunction.

Our being deceived is no light matter.  Speaking of Eve, the Apostle Paul noted that she was “deceived” by the serpent in the garden and that by her deception she “fell into transgression.”

In Deuteronomy, we read, “Take heed to yourselves, that your heart be not deceived, and you turn aside, and serve other gods, and worship them; And then the LORD’s wrath be kindled against you, and he shut up the heaven, that there be no rain, and that the land yield not her fruit; and lest ye perish quickly from off the good land which the LORD giveth you.”  In this case, one’s being deceived would result in death and dispossession.

In 1 Corinthians, Paul wrote, “Do not be deceived.  Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.” Here we have a list of sins common, no doubt, in Paul’s day as well as in ours.  It would be easy enough to excuse them as they were common practice.  It might have even seemed strange to people in the first century if one did not practice such things.  Perhaps the Corinthian Christians were tempted to pass over such behavior as customary and not worth mentioning.  Maybe they were afraid of challenging those who were involved in them out of misplaced fear of men.  Yet Paul says no one who practices such things “will inherit the kingdom of God.”

Many other examples of deception and the Scriptures telling us to avoid it can be found.

I bring up the matter of deception because we live in a world that is working to deceive us 24/7 and doing so with tools that are more sophisticated than at any time in history.

Ohio senatorial candidate J.D. Vance shared tweeted out this screen shot from a recent NBC News broadcast. It would seem that if you question the liberty destroying Covid protocols demanded by the Democrats or think the 2020 presidential election was stolen, the Department of Homeland Security thinks you just may be a terror threat.

I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.

  • Psalm 18:3

“America is under sustained attack,” wrote Arizona Congressman Paul Gosar in a recent tweet.

In what way? you may ask.

The Rep. Gosar went on to site a few examples.  “America is under sustained attack on its sovereignty with open borders, against its culture by race hustlers, against our public fisc [fisc meaning state treasury], and against our political/medical dissidents with a capricious legal system.”

The Congressman is right on all counts.

Worth noting is that Rep. Gosar’s tweet was in response to a tweet by Ronna McDaniel, Chairwoman of the Republican National Committee who had tweeted out “The Republican Party stands with the people of Cuba fighting for freedom!”

Rep. Gosar finished his tweet writing, “For the love of everything holy Cuba can wait.  Help America First.

Again, Paul Gosar is right on target.

The Democrats have openly become the party of treason and tyranny, while the Republicans uselessly tweet out about the goings on in other countries while ignoring the fire in our own house.

To borrow a turn of phrase from Isaiah, our cites are burned with fire (Antifa and BLM riots) while strangers devour our land before our face (Biden’s treasonous open borders polity, what some migrants call “la invitación”), yet all the Republican leadership can do is tweet out about demonstrations in Cuba.  Apart from a few individuals – Sen. Rand Paul, Rep. Thomas Massie, the afore mentioned Rep. Paul Gosar and some others – very few Republicans have taken any kind of public stand against the deliberate destruction of the United States of America by the treasonous, lying, illegitimate Biden regime, the Democratic Party, and Deep State technocrats such as the Jesuit Anthony Fauci.

America is under sustained attack to a degree and in a way that I personally have never witnessed.  And I’d be less than honest with you were I to say that I’ve been unfazed by it.  I’ve found myself alternately furious, despairing, and even scared.

In mid-August 2021, Americans are faced, not only with some of the items already mentioned, but by vaccine mandates, vaccine passports, renewed mask requirements and possible lockdowns, not to mention a War On Domestic Terror which is threatening to criminalize political opinions at odds with the ruling elite’s preferred narrative
