It was less than 2 months ago that I criticized the Governor of South Dakota for signing a bill that used the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) to determine whether a crime committed against a Jew would be considered a hate crime. One of the big concerns I had at the time was that Gov. Kristi Noem stated that the bill would serve as model legislation for other states. Obviously, the plan was to roll out the language in the bill to all 50 states. That was in March. Now, less than 2 months later, Congress is on the verge of passing a law using very similar language.
Another point I made in March concerned the language in the South Dakota bill that read, “Nothing in this section may be construed to diminish or infringe upon any protected right under U.S. Const., amend. I or S.D. Const., Art. VI, § 5, or to conflict with any federal, state, or local discrimination law.” Again, no one should be fooled by this language. The South Dakota Act will lead to the limitation of First Amendment rights.
The federal law was passed, apparently after heavy lobbying by Jewish groups such as the Americana Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) and the Antidefamation League (ADL), a group whose main purpose appears to be defaming anyone who disagrees with its oracular pronouncements.
This reminds me of what John Robbins wrote in his Trinity Review “The Religions Wars of the 21st Century.” There, he talked about how Americans have “embraced both Romanism and Judaism as saviors of the West, foolishly ignorant of the fact that they, as forms of unbelief, are destroyers of the West and causes of the collapse [of the West] …All three religions – Romanism, Islam, and Judaism – are false, militant, and violent.” It was the indiscriminate violence of the Israeli response to Hamas’ October 2023 attack on Israel that was the original trigger for the protests on college campuses. Last fall, the response of Israel’s American partisans was swift as they worked to shut down student protests at Harvard by doxing students involved in the protests and threatening to ruin their employment options after graduation. Now, they’ve amped up their efforts by pushing Congress to pass the unconstitutional AAA.
Judaism is a destroyer of the West, not because Jews are inferior people, but because Judaism is an inferior system of thought that lacks the necessary ideas to create and sustain a free society. It is no accident that the concept of personal liberty, including the right to free speech, took root in the Protestant West, and was not the product of medieval Judaism, Romanism, or Islam. But as Protestantism, that is, as Biblical Christianity has collapsed in the West, it has left a vacuum for these false and violent religions to rise.
Dispensationalist Evangelicals, some of them individuals in high office such as current Speaker of the House Mike Johnson, have also contributed to the attack on our Constitution and freedom of speech. It seems that the worship of Israel and Jews has replaced the worship of the Lord Jesus Christ in their minds and prevented them from recognizing that Israel, far from being “our greatest ally,” and Judaism, far from being the savior of the West, are, in fact, threats to American liberty.
