I recall as a kid growing up in the ’70s and ’80s that there was an undertone of “white guilt” propagated in my schools and in the media, It was mild by today’s turbo-charged, Marxist, Critical Race Theory driven struggle sessions that students and corporate employees are now subjected to, but it was there nonetheless. 

The schools I went to were racially mixed – I use the term “race” in the vernacular sense of the word, properly speaking the is only one race, the human race, see Acts 17:26 – white and black, and there always seemed to be a sotto voce campaign from the schools,, a whisper campaign of sorts, never explicitly stated but somehow always just under the surface, that the black kids were morally superior to us white kids because of slavery, Jim Crow, etc. But at the same time we were being blamed for the sins, real or imagined, of our forefathers and having guilt inculcated in us, not only by the schools, but by popular entertainment, and were being told ever so gently that we were oppressors who deserved to be punished, when I looked around me at school, it was the black kids who were doing most of the oppressing through their aggressive behavior.  The conflict between the official narrative I was hearing and what I saw taking place all around me was stark.  It was an early lesson I learned about the duplicity and cowardice of people in positions of power.

For my part, I’d rather not write a blog post about race.  It’s a topic I’d prefer to avoid.  But two stories from last week about anti-white racism – YouTuber Mark Dice prefers the term antiwhiteism – are so outrageous that commentary is required.

The first case is from a video released by journalist James O’Keefe showing IBM CEO Arvind Krishna threatening IBM managers if they didn’t meet minority hiring quotas.[1] According to Krishna,

 “I’m not going to finesse this. So, for Blacks, we should try to get towards 13-point-something percent,” Krishna said in the video. “On Hispanics, you’ve got to get into the mid-teens. On gender, okay, we are somewhere in the mid-30s, I think, for all of IBM.”

“Let me say it: Asians in the US are not an underrepresented minority in a tech company,” the CEO continued, stating that all company executives must “move forward by 1 percent on … underrepresented minorities.”[2]

On the same call video released by O’Keefe, another executive, Paul Cormier, noted that some executives had already been terminated for not following the company’s discriminatory hiring practices, and went on to say, “We’re never going to cross DEI off our list of priorities.  This is an ongoing thing.”  DEI, or as I prefer to call it, DIE, stands for Diversity, Inclusion, and Equity.  So just what is DIE?  I’ll give you the simple and practical answer stripped of all the pretentious social justice warrior argot that normally accompanies it.  DIE means no white people, especially no white, heterosexual men.

In my personal experience with DIE, this noxious, racist, and destructive ideology is often championed by multi-six-figure earning senior white male executives.  They will gladly destroy the career prospects of other white men lower down on the corporate ladder to virtue signal and maintain their high-paying positions.    

Another IBM executive, Allison Showalter, indicated that executives are “held accountable for DEI goals” designed to further IBM’s policy of “promoting and recruiting underrepresented minorities in executive roles.”

This sort of woke nonsense isn’t new to IBM.  John Robbins wrote about the lectures to which IBM subjected its employees about the wonderfulness of sodomy, and this was back in the 1990s.[3]

The second case involves the openly racist mayor of Boston Michelle Wu.  Wu’s open disdain for her white colleagues and white voters is really something to behold.  Her administration is a monstrous regiment of such astounding proportions that I just have to quote the great John Knox to kick things off. 

 To promote a woman to bear rule, superiority, dominion, or empire above any realm, nation, or city, is repugnant to nature, contumelious to God, a thing most contrary to his revealed will and approved ordinance, and finally it is the subversion of good order, and of all equity and justice….

… The revealed will and perfect ordinance of God …do manifestly oppose that any woman shall reign or bear dominion over man. For God first by order of his creation, and after by the curse and malediction pronounced against the woman by the reason of her rebellion, has pronounced the contrary.[4]

Note well, that John Knox included “city” in his list of institutions women ought not to rule over.  And John Knox was exactly, 100% right.  Feminism is a disaster for any society stupid enough to promote it, and it is a major source of the destruction of Western civilization.  Michelle Wu is Exhibit A in why women should not govern.  And the fact that she is the mayor of Boston indicates God’s curse is upon that city, and any other city, state, or nation so foolish as to elect a woman to a position of political authority.  “As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them.  O my people, they which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy paths,” wrote Isaiah.  Well, Wu certainly is causing the people of Boston to err and is destroying the way of their paths.  But in what way?  Just what sort of woke garbage is she promoting?

It turns out that an email was sent out earlier last week when a staffer dropped the ball and sent out an invitation to a so-called “electeds of color” – have you ever noticed how awful woke English is? – Christmas party holiday party [my apologies for calling it a Christmas party, I just can’t get the woke lingo down quite right] from which white public officials were banned.  Were Wu or her staffer at all ashamed of their blatant discrimination?  No, not at all.  The staffer didn’t apologize for her racist email.  She apologized only for sending it out to everyone, including white city officials, failing to send it only to its intended audience, the city’s “electeds of color” which presumably means only those officials who were not white.    

According to The New York Post,[5] the party was hosted by the mayor herself, and she described it as a “special moment.”  I suppose there’s a sense in which that could be true, but I don’t mean that in any positive way. Wu even posted a photo of the gathering on her Instagram page. 

Perhaps the most disturbing aspect of these two instances of antiwhiteism is the near-total silence from the establishment.  No one in any position of power cares about them at all.  White people are simply expected to put up with it and keep their mouths shut. It’s very obvious that if you’re white, the establishment hates you.

Ultimately, I think the issue of antiwhiteism runs deeper than simply an attack on whites.  Antiwhiteism strikes me as really an attack on the biblical faith of the founders of this nation and the institutions that they founded.  Antiwhiteism at its core is antiprotestantism and an attack on Western civilization, the civilization founded by the Reformation.

And why is it that the protestants have become a despised group in the nation founded by their forefathers?  Because we, broadly speaking, have been poor stewards of the Christian faith delivered to us.  When Israel strayed from the Law of Moses, they suffered loss.  As Isaiah wrote, “Your land, strangers devour it in your presence.”  No one should be surprised that now

the same thing is happening to us.  Strangers are devouring our land in our presence.  The establishment hates us.  Is anyone paying attention? Does anyone care?  Will American Protestants repent of their faithlessness before it’s too late?
