Newly sworn in President Donald Trump shakes the hand of Chief Justice John Roberts, 1/20/2017.
In case you haven’t heard, we had this little thing called a presidential inauguration this week. It seemed like a pretty big deal. So for that reason, and the fact that my alternative was leading with a story on Davos, the annual Dr. Evil convention held in Switzerland, it seemed good to me to kick things off this week with a word or two about the Trumpocalypse.
Mr. Populist Goes to Washington
For generations, the Democrats were the party of the little guy, the blue collar worker, the poor. They were the idealist revolutionaries manning the barricades against the oppressive establishment.
The Republicans? Well, they represented The Man. You know, like the top hat bedecked fellow with the monocle from Monopoly. The one who just can’t wait to overcharge you for rent in his hotel on Park Place.
But now in 2017 you can say goodbye to all that.
With his remarkable campaign and unlikely victory in the 2016 presidential election, Donald Trump has sent shockwaves through the establishments in both political parties. It is now the Democrats who are the defenders of the New World Order globalist establishment, the representatives of the bi-coastal elites, the champions of privilege.
And the Republicans, it is they who have become the party of the common man.
Maybe there really is something republican about the Republicans beyond just the name. After all, it was the Republicans who fought off the South’s attempt to break up the republic during the Civil War. And today it is the Republicans – not the establishment Republicans, but the rank-and-file conservatives within the party – who have been most effective in defending the sovereignty of American republic against the globalists pushing for world government.
And while I don’t count myself as a populist – populism is a mish-mash of often contradictory ideas intended to benefit the little guy; as a Christian, I believe in limited government, the rule of law, and private property – I’m certainly a lot more comfortable with President Trump than the Wicked Witch of the West the Democrats tried to foist on us.
Who’s the Fascist?
Do you remember all those YouTube videos of Trump supporters harassing people at rallies for Hillary and Bernie? Or how about all those rednecks from flyover country punching and egging progressives at their rallies, destroying private property, or directing foul-mouthed, 1960’s-style rhyming chants at their liberal opponents? Yeah, me neither.
It’s the progressive Social Justice Warriors who have the monopoly on politically motivated violence. And they were at it again at Trump’s inauguration.
CNN reports, “Six police officers were injured and 217 protesters arrested Friday after a morning of peaceful protests and coordinated disruptions of Donald Trump’s inauguration ceremony gave way to ugly street clashes in downtown Washington.”
Way to go guys. You’re awesome. I guess love really does trump hate. You’ve clearly proven that. And you’re such wonderful examples of going high when others go low, why did I ever doubt your sincerity?
But in all seriousness, to think that these Nazi Brownshirt inspired fools have the gall to call anyone a fascist, let alone their fellow Americans who peaceably assembled to hear a political candidate. They need to get the plank out of their own eye.
I’m still waiting for calls from the New York Times for Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer to renounce these leftist terrorists and their violence. But something just tells me that’s not going to happen.
Riggers Gonna Rig
Of all the scams perpetrated on the public by the fake news mainstream press during the presidential election, bogus polls were among the biggest.
Veteran Democratic pollster Pat Cadell became apoplectic at Reuter’s blatant poll rigging shortly after the Democratic convention last summer. According to Caddell,
They [Reuters] not only changed their formula, to put Hillary ahead. They went back and changed the results, for a week of results where Trump was ahead, and then they turned those into Hillary leads…Never in my life have I seen a news organization, and a supposedly reputable poll, do something so dishonest…This is what the media is willing to do, to try to elect her…This poll is nothing but a part of a media offensive. In the 45 years since I was a child, in top-level presidential campaigns, I have never seen the media on such a jihad, and so involved in hiding facts, and not following up. This is a crisis of democracy, what the press is now doing.
Now you may think that after getting burned so badly by the failure of their candidate, by the opprobrium rightfully heaped upon them by the public, and by their declining audience and influence, the fake news mainstream media would take a good hard look in the mirror and resolve to change their crooked ways.
But you would be quite wrong. As it turns out, the poll riggers are back to their rigging ways. Or what is more likely, never left them in the first place.
As ZeroHedge reports, recent ABC/Washington Post and CNN opinion polls on Trump’s favorability have all the hallmarks of the rigged pre-election polling.
So just how do the riggers rig? One of their favorite techniques is the magic of “oversampling.” Various polls show the number of registered Democrats outnumber registered Republicans by a 3-4 percentage points. In a fair poll, this means that the sample should be drawn proportionally from each group. But when the mainstream media wants to lie with statistics, they far more Democrats than Republicans, in order to skew the results they way they want.
For a poll on Trump’s favorability, what would you expect when it’s rigged to oversample Democrats but a very negative number. And voila! That’s exactly what you get. According to ABC, “Trump to Enter Office as Most Unpopular President in at Least 40 Years, Poll Finds.”
Truly shocking result, that. Next ABC’s going to announce that a poll of Ohio State fans has proven that the University of Michigan has the lowest favorability ratings of any team in America.
In Closing
Well, I didn’t really get around to talking about Davos, the other big story this week. Davos is the annual confab where the Masters Of The Universe get together and plot how best to fleece the hoi polloi of their remaining wealth and freedom.
But while time doesn’t permit any in depth discussion, I would like to leave you with a quote from one of the evilest of all Davos Dr. Evils, George Soros himself, who told all the world this week that Donald Trump is, “and imposter and a con man, and a would be dictator,” and that he is convinced Trump will fail.
Of all people, for former Nazi collaborator George Soros to call anyone a “would be dictator,” well, let’s just say that takes a whole lotta chutzpah.
