The two authors of this piece, Danny Danon and Ram Ben-Barak, are both current members of the Israeli Knesset, Israel’s parliament. And they attempt to make the argument for “countries around the world to accept limited numbers of Gazan families who have expressed a desire to relocate.”
The two authors go on to name a number of nations that have accepted refugees in the past, implying that because something was done in the past it is acceptable to do it once again. This, of course, is fallacious reasoning. Simply because something has been done does not mean that it was right to do, nor does it imply that it is right to repeat it.
For example, the authors cite Germany, writing that “Germany alone admitted more than 1.2 million refugees and asylum-seekers, about a quarter of whom were Syrian.” Yes, Germany did this. And by all accounts, it was a complete disaster. One can find example after example after example of appalling crimes committed against German citizens by Syrians and other refugees that were brought in by then German Chancellor Angela Merkel. Here are just a sample of the headlines I have saved from Germany’s experience with refugees:
- This is What You Get When You Accept Unvetted “Refugees”: Afghan Slashes Berlin Woman’s Throat for Gardening
- ‘Mohammed’ On Course To Be Most Popular Baby Name In Germany
- German Feminist SJW Rebecca Sommer Reveals “It’s NEARLY Too Late For Germany”, Speaks Candidly On German Immigration
I could go on and on and on with such headlines, not only from Germany, but from other nations mentioned by these two Israeli lawmakers in their WSJ opinion piece, but I think the reader gets the point. As I said above, simply because something was done in the past, does not make it a good idea. The refugee flood unleashed by Angela Merkel on Germany was a disaster for the nation as well as for Merkel’s political career.[2] There is now talk in Germany of deporting rejected asylum-seekers.[3]
The audacity of these Israeli legislators is truly astonishing. The modern state of Israel has been around for 75 years and has never been able to come to terms with the Palestinians. Now, it wants to drop them off on the West’s doorstep and make them our problem.
My message to these two Israeli gentlemen? Get thee behind me Satan!
And that goes for the editors of the WSJ as well who ran this editorial presumably to try to convince Americans that subjecting their nation to a mass influx of Palestinians is somehow in their best interest, or at least their duty.
There’s no mention made by the Israeli authors about the enormous financial costs they plan to impose on the West. There’s no mention made of the risks of crime and terrorism this will bring to the West.
Bottom line, these Israeli legislators do not care one whit about America or about any of the other nations they mention. We exist only to relieve them of the burden of addressing their own problem at their own expense. It is a little-known fact, but Israel was instrumental in creating Hamas.[4] Why should America solve a problem that the Zionists created for themselves?
One of the more tiresome tropes among dispensationalist Evangelicals is the notion that somehow America is in debt to Israel. And when Bibi Netanyahu or some other Israeli says “jump,” no matter how outrageous the demand, the only proper response is to ask, “How high?” Current Republican presidential candidate and uber-Zionist Nikki Haley went so far as to say that America needs to give (give!) Israel whatever it wants “no questions asked.”[5] Apparently, even asking questions about U.S. aid to Israel is now considered antisemitism in Haley’s mind.
It is high time for this foolishness to stop. America owes nothing to Israel other than to be a good neighbor. America does not owe Israel money. America does not owe Israel military support. America does not owe Israel a solution to its dispute with the Palestinians.

Steve, the article is correct. Here’s my view in general: Politics influenced by false end time views and honoring physical blood lines over all people. The Gospel calls believers from every nation, kindred, tongue, and people (Rev 7:9). Dispensationalism separates the Church and Isarel. In the NT, the 2 are one and the same. The Almighty calls elect Jews and Gentiles throughout the world. The notion that before Jesus can return, the Temple in Jerusalem must be rebuilt; this implies that Christ needs a little human help. This is sacrilegious. He is the Temple now (John 2:19) – not Solomon’s Temple. They are fighting over land that they think is holy. This is not just a Jewish responsibility of imposing Muslims on the US; it is a Jesuit strategy to get more and more sleeper cells into the US – another Trojan Horse. Their intent/motive is to bring down Europe and the US, and the 1st Amendment and the printing of the press. Of course, this is already happening online with 404 page not found. Banning Luther and the Reformers as well as the Word of God. Counter Reformation at work once again. Our Baptist and Protestant ministers have not been the Standard-Bearers they were called to be (Isaiah 59:19). I can only look to Ezekeil 34:10-11 in a world where the “overwhelming majority” of contemporary ministers are teaching heresy. I drive by churches and the signs outside say: Pray for Isarel. True, but why don’t these signs also add: and pray for the elect in Gaza. Amazing how many churches are brainwashed by Dispensational Theology and these false antichristian end time views. Lord Help.
Tommy, Thanks for your, as usual, well-written comment. Yes, it’s a mess out there. And, as you noted, those who have been charged with teaching the truth have not been faithful shepherds.
Excellent Steve, Dispensational theology is heretical and dangerous to our Republic. US Evangelical churches and the general public has been programmed for greater than a hundred years. God’s people are those that have bowed the knee to the only Messiah Jesus Christ.
Eph.2:12-14That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:
But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.
Col.3:11 For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;
A very good and timely message on the subject.
