Silicon Valley, Big Tech Overlords Love Antifa
An Antifa group calling itself the PNW Youth Liberation Front (PNW standing for Pacific Northwest), an organization responsible for much of the rioting terrible rioting in Portland is allowed to have active Twitter and Facebook accounts.
At a time when countless individuals are being banned from various social media platforms for supposed hate speech, a group dedicated to violent revolution is permitted to openly organize on Facebook and Twitter. Amazing. Beyond a doubt, Facebook and Twitter are well aware of this group’s presence on their platform, yet they do nothing. The SPLC and the ADL, two anti-first amendment groups, say nothing about the PNW Youth Liberation Front. To this author’s knowledge, no government official has called for the removal of the group’s social media accounts.
Very clearly, the fix is in. Powerful people and organizations in this country approve of the ongoing violent Antifa/Black Lives Matter insurrection.
Their silence in violence.
Perhaps one could argue that allowing such groups to operate on Twitter and Facebook is a sting operation of sorts. Get the group’s members to reveal themselves and their plans and use this information against them. This author doubts this scenario for the simple reason that so much of what passes for the mainstream in this country has also openly sided with the rioters.

Mainstream News Loves Antifa
A headline on CNN from 7/24 reads “18 people face federal charges after arrests at courthouse protests in Portland.” The subtle lie in this headline is calling the violent insurrection in Portland a “protest.” What’s going on in Portland are not protests. The proper term for them is riots.
Here’s another example, this one from ABC news from earlier today, 7/26/2020. According to ABC’s report, “Oakland protesters set fire to courthouse and vandalize.” Setting fire to a courthouse and vandalizing are not examples of protesting. This is rioting, but ABC, along with the rest of the mainstream media, refuses to use the correct term for the actions of these destructive mobs.
The Democrats Love Antifa
In addition to Silicon Valley tech overlords and the lying legacy media, the Democrats are another mainstream institution promoting Civil War 2.0. In 1884, Presbyterian minister Samuel D. Burchard famously, and correctly, called the Democrats the party of Rum, Romanism and Rebellion. He was right then, and he is right now. With that in mind, it is not surprising to find that when it comes to the Portland riots, the Democrats, rather than supporting law enforcement, come down on the side of the rioters. With the Dems, good is always evil and evil is always good. That’s how they roll. It’s in their political DNA.
In a tweet dated 7/17, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi wrote, “Unidentified stormtroopers. Unmarked cars. Kidnapping protesters and causing severe injuries in response to grafitti. These are not the actions of a democratic republic. @DHSgov’s actions in Portland undermine its mission. Trump & his stormtroopers must be stopped.”
Good is evil. Evil is good. Note how Pelosi poisons the well by calling federal law enforcement “stormtroopers” and minimizes the severity of the rioting and violence in Portland by making her readers think the only thing going on there is a little graffiti artistry.
Article III, Section 3 of the US Constitution defines treason against the United States as, “consist[ing] only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort.” The Antifa mobs in Portland can certainly be said to be the enemies of the United States. And if so, what shall we say of those who, like Nancy Pelosi, at least verbally give them aid and comfort? Could her words not be considered treasonous?
In response to Speaker Pelosi’s nonsense, reporter Andy Ngo tweeted, “Graffiti? How about explosives, hammers, knives, sledgehammers, slingshots w/metal ball bearings, blinding by lasers, pipe bomb and more? You have no clue what is going on here.
If you want to see what the “graffiti” artists of Portland are really up to, you may want to check out Andy Ngo’s twitter feed. He has been covering the Portland riots on scene for some time now and has a quite a bit of video to back up his description of their violent nature. One word or warning, a lot of the video is pretty raw in terms of the on-screen violence and language, so use discretion.
Professional Sports? Oh Yeah, They Think BLM Is Awesome
Professional sports is another institution that has decided to use its money and influence to make war on the American people. Major League Baseball (MLB) belatedly opened its season last week. As a long-time Cincinnati Reds fan, I’ve been looking forward to the start of the season, thinking, naively as it turned out, that having baseball to talk about would provide some relief from the constant ideological warfare that has consumed the nation.
Unfortunately, MLB somehow got the idea that what its fans want is not baseball, but more Black Lives Matter propaganda. As NBC reports, before the Yankees and Nationals game on Thursday, 7/23, “all the players and staff from both teams held a long, black cloth. A Black Lives Matter compilation video – which included Howie Kendrick and Aaron Judge, who were on the field – played on the scoreboard. At the end, during a moment of silence in the stadium, everyone dropped to a knee or both knees. When public address announcer Jerome Hruska said, ‘Thank you,’ they all stood.”
Black Lives Matter (BLM) is a radically anti-American and evil organization which is now being mainstreamed through the efforts of MLB. While on the surface it purports to be dedicated to fighting police violence against blacks, BLM is really a front organization pushing Gramscian-style communist revolution. More on this anon.
Citing his Christian faith, Sam Coonrod, a relief pitcher for the San Francisco Giants, refused to kneel during the playing of the national anthem. He was the only player on either team not to do so. Coonrod explained, “I’m a Christian, like I said, and I just can’t get on board with a couple of things that I have read about Black Lives Matter. How they lean toward Marxism and they’ve said some negative things about the nuclear family. I just can’t get on board with that.”
MLB isn’t the only sports league pushing the BLM narrative. As far as this author can tell, all major sporting leagues are doing likewise. To show their open contempt for the nation, during the pre-game playing of the national anthem members of the WNBA Seattle Storm and New York Liberty walked off the court. national anthem.
…Ditto with the Business and Educational Establishment
Business is also in on the fix. Almost as a chorus, business leaders have been singing the praises of BLM for the past two months. Time would fail me were I to attempt to catalogue all the hot air coming from various CEO’s about BLM, so perhaps the case of Amazon’s Jeff Bezos will suffice. Amazon has been quite aggressive in its promotion of BLM, with CEO Bezos saying, “I want you to know I support this movement that we see happening all around us.”
Apparently the “peaceful protesters” in Seattle were not impressed by Bezos’ virtue signaling as Newsweek reported last week that a Seattle Amazon Go store was vandalized.
Last but not least, and you knew this was coming, the educational industrial complex is another institution in on the fix to make war on America. As this 2019 New York Post article indicates, “Black Lives Matter has become the progressive left’s primary vehicle for anti-racist activism.”
Antifa and BLM as Gramscian Revolutionaries
One thing we can be sure of, if Antifa, Black Lives Matter and their allies in big tech, the legacy media, the Democratic party, major league sports and education are able to fully implement their program, America will be finished as a nation.
Facing the seriousness of the threat from Antifa/BLM is an unpleasant reality for most Americans. But if Americans broadly, and American Christians in particular, are to have any chance of defeating these threats to their liberty, it is a reality they must face.
Part of facing the threat is understanding the threat. Ultimately, it is important for Christians to understand that the violent revolutionaries we see in the streets setting fires, destroying monuments, beating up opponents, etc. are not isolated examples of insurrection, but are part of a master plan to undermine and destroy America as we have known it. BLM and Antifa are the fruit of a Gramscian revolution begun many decades ago in American educational institutions.
What is a Gramscian revolution? The term Gramscian refers to Italian political theorist Antonio Gramsci, a communist writer from the early 20th century. As a communist, Gramsci was disappointed that the revolution promised by Marx in the 19th century had not swept through the world as he had hoped. Gramsci explained that the failure of communism was due to the effects of culture. In particular, Gramsci believed that Christianity is what stood in the way of the adoption of communism in the West.
The working classes, he argued, would never revolt against their oppressors, because they had too much in common. The key to brining communism to the West, Gramsci argued, was to attack the culture. As Daniel Ajamian has noted in his essay “The Greatest Political Strategist in History,” Gramsci believed, “Religion and culture were at the base of the pyramid, the foundation. It was the culture, and not the economic condition of the working class, that was the key to bringing communism to the West.”
Ajamian tells us that Cultural Hegemony was Gramsci’s most important idea. According to Ajamian, Gramsci believed, “The working class would need to develop a culture of its own, separate and distinct from the common values of the larger society. Control their beliefs and you control the people. This was only possible if the hegemony of the ruling class was in crisis.”
Ajamian states that, for Gramsci, hegemony would come about in three phases: “first take claim to be the ruling class in culture; second, seize State power; third transform completely the economic base.” In the opinion of this writer, first step, taking claim to be the ruling class in culture, has nearly been completely won by the revolutionaries. The second step, seizing State power, is very nearly won. If Joe Biden wins this fall, phase two will be settled. Phase three, well, that’s what the Green New Deal, Universal Basic Income, etc. represent.
In addition to the importance of Cultural Hegemony, Gramsci’s second important idea as his focus on intellectuals. Noted Ajamian, “Gramsci believed that the working class would have to develop their own intellectuals, with values that were critical of the status quo.” This is the start of critical theory. One branch of critical theory is Critical Race Theory, the philosophy underlying Black Lives Matter.
Ajamian mentions that Gramsci’s notion of intellectuals was broader than just academicians. Gramsci identified two groups of intellectuals. First were the organic intellectuals from the working class; second, were the clergy, philosophers and academicians. Ajamian includes in these two groups, “thought leaders from entertainment, sports, business, and politics.
For many decades, the Gramscian cultural Marxists as exemplified by Antifa and BLM have been working hard to attain cultural hegemony and political power to the end that they will be able to transform the economic base of the United States from capitalism to socialism.
From the look of things, it appears they have very nearly succeeded.
If they are to be defeated, there is only one group that stands in the way, Christians.
What Are Christians to Do?
If you’re a Christina, Antifa, Black Lives Matter and their political, business and cultural enablers hate you and want to see you dead. That’s a not a cheery thought. But it’s an unpleasant reality Christians in our day need to face.
In light of the extraordinary evil that Christians are up against, it needs to be asked, what are we to do? In short, the weapons of our warfare are Scripture and prayer. They are not carnal. Rather, they are mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God.
Unlike what many Christians are taught to believe, the Bible is more than a book for Sunday mornings only. The 66 books of the Bible are not only about how to be saved and how to live a life pleasing to God, but also an entire system of thought capable of meeting and defeating all comers in every field of thought, including the Marxists and critical race theorists of Antifa and BLM.
In contrast to what our Gramscian revolutionaries would have us believe, constitutional capitalism is not a system of economic and racial oppression, but God’s design for the human race. Limited government and economic liberty have lifted untold millions from oppression and poverty and are the economic and political expression of Biblical Christianity as recovered by the Protestant Reformation of the 16th century. By contrast, socialism has brought only death and misery wherever it has been instituted.
As Christians, we must repair, not to the wisdom of this world, but to the law and to the testimony. It is the Word of God alone that thoroughly equips the man of God for every good work, including the good work of destroying the arguments of the Gramscian revolutionaries of our own day.
